’Fading Reality’ is a Touhou arrangement album that has a dreamy yet dreadful atmosphere by * Works, a circle based in Turkey. It includes 7 tracks in different genres; chiptune, blues, acoustic, trance and ambient, made by 4 musicians from different countries.

Despite the album’s release being in a year of production hell due to the circle’s personal problems and the pandemic, the album was successfully completed while the circle gained new members.

‘Fading Reality’ is an album made for fun by Touhou fans and for Touhou fans, with the aim to add to the collection of soft Touhou music and to make the listener feel dreamlike, as if reality is falling apart and you’re slowly transitioning to Gensokyo. The cover of the album also emphasises that feeling.

The album includes arrangements of themes from Mountain of Faith, Perfect Cherry Blossom, Highly Responsive to Prayers and more. It tries to capture the atmosphere of Gensokyo’s sceneries and events.

The album has been released on the circle’s Bandcamp page on the 27th of June. Also, XFDs will be posted on SoundCloud and the circle’s official YouTube channel.
