The Touhou Story/Fanfic Jam is an upcoming online event centered around the creation of Touhou stories and fanfiction. During the 2-week event, participants can choose to either create a new story, or continue any existing story they have created, and submit it to be showcased online.

This event was created as the organiser (historyleaf37) had noticed some of their friends (and many writers in general) in the Touhou community had trouble motivating themselves to finish their Touhou fanfiction. Whether it be due to work/school obligations, having no audience to show their work to, etc. So, the organiser decided to create an event exclusively for Touhou fanfiction creation! As a participant of the Touhou Fan Game Jams, the organiser also decided to make it a jam-like event, and welcoming of submissions beyond written works.

And indeed, in this event, participants are not just limited to submitting written works – comics, videos, fangames, and more are accepted as well. In addition, participants may submit as many stories as they would like to the event, and incomplete stories are also accepted. The main goal of the event is to encourage Touhou writers and storytellers to work on their stories, in any vision they prefer, and to share those stories with an audience and get potential feedback.

The event will begin on January 3, 2026, and end on January 17, 2026. Submissions for stories will also be open within that time period. In Gensokyo and beyond, with faces new and old – we will wait warmly for your stories!
