※By submitting your game(s) to Touhou Game Jam, you’ve read and agreed to Terms and Conditions listed below.

General

• By submitting your game to our service, you’ve granted us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform the content in connection with us, including without limitation for promoting, redistributing in any and all media formats.
• Submitted games must be derivative games based on Touhou Project.
• Submitted games must be related to one of the themes provided.
• Only 1 game can be submitted per submission. Up to 5 submissions from the same email address are accepted. 
• By submitting, you’ve given permissions for others to stream or create gameplay videos of your games.
• You must comply with ZUN’s derivative guideline on Touhou Project fan-made contents.

• We’re not obligated to answer any questions regarding judging rubrics.

Regarding “Touhou Game Jam Assets”

• Assets may be used for games created for Touhou Game Jam ONLY. You may NOT use said assets for any other purposes.

Redistributing Game Jam Submissions  

• Submitted game(s) may be redistributed abiding ZUN’s derivative guidelines, EXCLUDING games that contain any “Touhou Game Jam Assets.”
• Redistributing submitted games that include any assets included in “Touhou Game Jam Assets” requires explicit permission from Touhou Game Jam organizer.
• You may remove said assets and redistribute submitted games that no longer include said assets, abiding ZUN’s derivative guideline.
• Ownership of submitted games belongs to their respective creators.
• Third-parties are NOT allowed to redistribute submitted games without their respective owners’ consents.

Regulation

• You may use external assets only if you’ve obtained permissions from their respective owners, or they have compatible licenses.
  • Licenses that require attributions such as Creative Commons must be clearly attributed under the game descriptions.
• Submitted games must NOT contain any canonical assets from official sources, including but not limited to sprites, sound effects, music ripped from ZUN’s games, cutouts of official manga portraits, pages, etc.
• Submitted games must NOT include any forms of monetization. i.e. Free-to-download but pay-to-play games, free-to-play games with in-game advertisements.
• Third-parties are NOT allowed to redistribute submitted games without their respective owners’ consents.
• Submitted games must NOT contain elements that are considered adult-only. i.e. Excessive depictions of sexual behaviors, nudity, violences, and gores, are NOT allowed.
• Submitted games must NOT have contents that endorse or harass any nonfictional individuals, groups, or organizations.
• We reserve the right to remove any submitted contents that do not follow our terms and conditions without any notice.
• Touhou Game Jam organizer, Touhou Station, and Touhou Project officials are NOT responsible for any damages in connection with submitted contents.
• Ownership of Touhou Project’s copyright belongs to ZUN.
